Abstract

A pulmonary embolism (PE) happens when a blood clot in the lungs causes a blood vessel in the lungs to become unexpectedly obstructed. PE is a life-threatening condition that should be detected as soon as feasible. This study proposes a unique method for automatically identifying PE in contrast-enhanced CT images. The major technique to gather pictures in order to diagnose PE is computed tomography (CT). It is a short test that produces high-quality photos with increased contrast and multi-sliced images. The system includes candidate identification, feature computation, and classification. Candidate detection's main goals are to include PE with even complete occlusions and to minimize erroneous tissue and parenchymal diseases diagnosis. The location and structure of the pulmonary vascular tree, as well as the severity, shape, and size of an embolus, are all considered when determining features. The CAD tool's capacity to detect emboli in the sectional and sub sectional pulmonary Arterial Tree (PAT) was investigated.
