A NEW GENUS OF TETRASTICHINAE (HYMENOPTERA : CHALCIDOIDEA : EULOPHIDAE) FROM SARAWAK, BORNEO

A new genus Borneostichus gen, nov. collected from Borneo is described with the type species Borneostichus nostisetosus sp. nov. The new genus differs from all other known genera in the following combination of characters : lower frons produced forward, madibles relatively smaller with teeth not discernible, temples thin, mesoscutum abundantly setose, Scutellum with 6 pairs of long setae; notauli distinct and complete; propodeum with inserted 'Y' shaped paraspiracular carinae. SMV with 2 dorsal setae; ovipositor sheath not exceeding apex of gaster.
