Abstract

This paper report of the behavior Langmuir monolayer of chemically modified asymmetric tetraether lipids GDNT and chemically modified symmetric tetraether lipids caldarchaeol-PO4 at the air-water interface (temperatures 19°C ±1°C). This study was investigated that the stability of the mean ratio of Langmuir films to variance in dispersion times prior to film transfer.

Hysteresis loops of compression-decompression (-A) isotherms from Langmuir monolayers tetraether lipids were indicated that thermodynamic stability of Langmuir monolayers and their features.

The stability of floating monolayer film is a crucial parameter to get high-quality Langmuir- Blodgett film for its application. Stability of the lipid membranes is of great importance to a number of biomedical applications, including intravenous drug delivery, and biosensors.
