Abstract

This chapter studies the important role of socially responsible investing. Socially responsible
investing (SRI) is the process of investing assets in businesses and funds with positive
influence. In recent years, socially responsible investing has expanded, and the society is
becoming conscious that the potential well-being of citizens be questionable unless
businesses consider the SEE (social, ethical, environmental) issues while making decisions.
With the help of pressure, investors and the providers of finance can influence the
businesses to act socially responsible.
