Abstract

The article presents analysis results of the amount of chlorophyll total, chlorophyll “a”, chlorophyll “b” and carotenoid on the leaves of pomegranate plants grown in local condition, as well as their leaf relative water content (RWC) and excised leaf water loss (ELWL) features. In accordance with dispersion analysis of the results obtained, Qora qayim and Qizil achchiq cultivars of pomegranate were found to be more efficient and productive by their physiological characters in soil condition of Syrdarya region comparing to Tuyatish, Oq shirin and Qizil shirin cultivars of pomegranate. Pomegranate plant by the amounts of chlorophyll “a”, chlorophyll “b”, chlorophyll total and carotenoids had a strong negative correlation with RWC character, while the characters by chlorophyll “a” and carotenoids amount had medium negative correlation with ELWL character.
