Abstract

The present study included the use of different concentrations of smoke water extract (0, 1:10, 1:100, 1:200) in order to alleviate the toxic effect of different concentrations of Sodium Chloride (NaCl) (0, 100, 150, 200) mM on Cucumber sativus L. seed germination. The seeds were soaked in smoke water extract concentrations for two different periods (24, 72) hours. Germination percentage, auxin (IAA), gibberelline (GA), cytokinine (CK) and abcsisic acid (AB) concentrations were determined. The results showed that smoke water extract has a positive effect on increasing seeds germination depending on soaking period.
