Abstract

Objectives: The work proposes an innovative approach to merge physical and digital world through internet and recognize an object using Discriminative Sparse Coding technique. The extracted features are stored and retrieved for feature matching using IOT-Cloud Paradigm.

Method/Analysis: An efficient storage technique is used for storing images as well as the features of these images. The work shows how an object can be extracted from a captured image and how the features are extracted to store it in a cloud environment. An efficient algorithm, Key-Value Pair (KVP) memory model with encryption and decryption technique is also used for secure storage and retrieval of data from the cloud.

Findings: Two efficient algorithms, Sparse Coding and Key-Value Pair are fused to develop a smart sensor which Serves as a bridge between Image acquisition and storage in cloud.

Application: A smart sensor equipped with an image capturing device recognizes the objects and further stores it in a cloud infrastructure which can also be retrieved for further processing.
