Abstract

This study investigated the relationship between math anxiety and emotional intelligence. The researcher investigated whether there were any significant differences among components of emotional intelligence. In addition, the study examined the relationship between emotional intelligence‘s components and math anxiety. It found that emotion awareness and emotional management significantly predicted math anxiety. The study included two surveys, which were administered to 88 pre-service teachers. The emotional intelligent survey included 40 questions and a math anxiety survey 29 questions.
