Abstract

In this article, 16Mo3 (Cr-Mo) alloy steel sheet material that 4 mm thick hot rolled was used. It was applied respectively quench hardening and dead annealing process in 16Mo3 sheet material. Micro-structural transformations, hardness and tensile strength values were examined in materials applied heat treatment compared to heat-untreated materials. Homogenous ferrite pearlite structure as a result of annealing applications was determined to exhibit in the event of alloying elements and sheet material deformation process. It was observed a decrease in hardness and tensile strength values of samples after dead annealing. It was achieved the highest hardness and tensile strength after quench hardening. The maximum percent elongation value was obtained after dead annealing.
