This research work examined the use of technology as a tool for educational innovation. Several innovative technologies was analyzed and the analysis reveals that the use of new or improved learning technology such as distance education or online learning technology, project organized technology etc providing student and teachers with access to electronic libraries, creating ACS of educational process and higher institution information system. More so, technological innovations in education can be felt in the establishment of online courses, teaching aids, education software, social networking tools, and other emerging technology. In this paper, we also emphasize the fact that innovation has to lead to improvement because it is the application of a new resource or approach that changes social practice, creating some value that is better or more effective than its predecessor.
