Abstract

Laboratory-bred white rats were given daily intraperitoneal injections of lead acetate at doses of 5 mg /100 g body weight and 2.5 mg /100 g body weight and sacrificed after 5, 10 and 15 days of treatment. Study of the heart, liver and kidney displayed histological evidence of exclusive cell damage correlated with evidence of lead deposition.
